John LIDDELL was convicted at Edinburgh 16 June 1816. 14 yr transportation sentence. Sent to New South Wales, Australia per the 'Sir William Bensley' then transferred to Van Diemen's Land per the 'Elizabeth Henrietta'. VDL: 13 June 1818: Drunk and neglect of duty. 25 lashes. 18 Dec 1829: Suspicion of receiving 2 sheep knowing they had been previously stolen. Discharged.
