There was a petition from his son Richard, written on the same date. To Governor Lachlan Macquarie. The humble petition of Richard Lillis Stateth That Petitioner, native of this Colony, son of Peter Lillis, settler, Airds, seventeen years of age, being desirous of becoming a Settler, Most humbly prayeth – that your Excellency may be pleased to grant Petitioner such portion of Land, and cattle , and such other Indulgence, as His Excellency may, in his wisdom, deem fit. And petitioner will, as in duty bound, ever pray. Petitioner being …? disposed and being sober, industrious, I beg leave most respectfully to recommend him to Your Excellency’s favourable consideration. (Signed) not legible. May 29 1820.
