John LINDSEY was convicted at Swaffam, Norfolk on 28 Oct 1846 for stealing a watch. Previous offence. 7yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land per the 'Cornwall' arriving 11 June 1851. Aged 29yrs; married; Church of England; can read & write a little; farm labourer and ploughman. Native Place - Barton Work services in the Colony. Ticket of Leave granted 22 June 1852. Tried at Hobart, 1853, for stealing. Discharged. 28 April 1854 Certificate of Freedom
