The Printed Convict Indentures state that Maurice Lineham was 18 years old. He could neither read or write; religion Roman Catholic; status single and a native of County Wexford. He was a stable boy. Maurice was convicted of stealing a watch at Waterford on 10 October 1835 and sentenced to 7 years. He had one prior conviction and served 6 months. Physical attributes: Height - 5 feet 5 1/4 inches; complexion ruddy; hair brown and eyes hazel. Transport number 171. Prisoner number 36-1974.
Received ticket of leave in 1841 (number 41/1248).
Received Certificate of Freedom in 1843 (number (43/632).
Comment on indentures - ‘Brother, Richard Malochnie and James Lineham and sister Sarah Lineham, already in colony as convicts.
