Henry Liptrot was transported for stealing 5 hen fowls. He had previous convictions, one for stealing ducks, one for trespass - 2 months goal. He was a Labourer, single, pockpitted, light hazel eyes, red hair and 5'2" tall. From 1834 to June 1840 he had many offences noted, insolence, disobedience, neglect of work, being drunk, these resulting in imprisonment, lashes and the treadwheel. He was also assigned to chain gangs. 21/12/1835: Muster - Public Works. 30/11/1842: Launceston Examiner. - Friday No.25th, Henry Liptrot fined 5s. for being drunk and 5s for resisting the Constable.
