Prisoner discharged from H M Gaol, week ending 24 Jan 1872 & 20 Jan 1872. Isaac Lester, per Cressy 1, F.S. 1847, tried at Torquay on the 13 Nov 1871 for idle & disorderly, served 2 months, also charged on 15 Nov 1871 for misconduct, served 1 week, native of Yorkshire, 51 yrs, 5 feet 4 inches high, sandy hair, bridge of nose broken, scar over left eye, scar left arm near elbow . Tasmania Police Gazette, 26th Jan 1872, p16.
Isaac Lister, shoemaker, born about 1816 in Marsden, Yorkshire, UK. Son of "Brine" and Mary Lister. Brine was also a shoemaker. Isaac Lister married Betty Buckley in 1836.
