Got his freedom in 1810. Married Lancastrian Catherine Williams, also from Manchester (ship- Experiment) October 1822 at St Philips who passed away May 1831. 1828 muster- lived together at No 3 Harrington Street. Nathaniel passed away aged 68 in feb 1835 and they were buried together at the Devonshire St cemetery with a headstone. They were later reinterred at la Perouse. The death notice said Nathaniel died at the Cherry Gardens, Parramatta Rd, much lamented by all his friends, Nathaniel Lloyd, shipwright, aged 69, a respectable inhabitant of this colony for 36 years. Their gravestone was photographed in 1900 prior to Devonshire St exhumations and the image, part of the State Library of NSW collections can be seen online- search 'beneath the clocktower state library nsw' for a pdf presentation containing the image.
