Fifty acres being able to fence and cultivate to that extent and no further with the means now in my possession. Charles Loadsman. Since records show he was indicted for larceny May 20, 1818 and that he was 18 years old at the time, his approximate year of birth would be 1800. Some lineage: I am Maureen Crawford aka Susan Maureen (nee Carter)I live in San Diego, California USA, born October 18, 1957 in Baltimore Maryland USA; I am the daughter of Mary Catherine Carter (nee Daley)born November 2, 1917 in Lismore, Australia;, who was the daughter of Margaret Mary Daley (nee Loadsman)born October 14, 1901 in Lismore; who was the daughter of Charles David Loadsman, born June 4 or 12, 1841 at Jamberoo; Charles David Loadsmanwas was the son of this convict, Charles Joseph Loadsman... he is my great, great grandfather. My son is Ian Daley Crawford, born May 12, 1988 in San Diego, California. Charles Joseph Loadsman would be Ian's great, great, great grandfather. Charlss Loadsman was indicted for stealing on 20th May, 1818 one jacket value 4s, one waistcost value 2s, and one pair of trousers value 3s, the goods of Peter Bews. Prisoners Defence: I took it by mistake. GUILTY Aged 18 Transported for Seven Years. Married Catherine Mary Ryan (transported 1829)in 1831. Had 9 children (2 dec)Sarah,John,William,Charles,Thomas,Mary,Elizabeth. Charles & Catherine became dairy farmers starting in Shoalhaven District then moving later to Lismore District. Where Charles died in 1887 and Catherine in 1890. Both buried at Alphadale Cemetery. They were my Great,Great Grandparents.
