Norfolk Sessions Jonathan Lock was convicted stealing, on Dec. last, three geese, the property of John Smith, of Larling, farmer. The prisoner was further convicted, jointly with his son, Robert Lock, of having stolen, on the 31st of December last, a pig, belonging to Mary Ann Towler, Rockland All Saints. And the said Robert Lock was also further convicted stealing three pianos, from William Cooking of Great Effingham, the 1st of March last. The Jury recommended Robert Lock to mercy, which the Court intimated they could not listen to, in consequence of his being an old offender. Both were sentenced to seven years' transportation. There were other indictments against the prisoners, which were abandoned. Norfolk Chronicle, 20 Jan 1821.
