At the assizes tor this county, held held at Abingdon, on Monday last, the following prisoners were capitally convicted and received sentence of death, viz. ... —John Lodwick, breaking open the cottage of David Willis, at White Wallham, in the day time, no person being therein, and Stealing a clock; and ... :—Dormer, as a murderer, was ordered for execution in chains after condemnation, and his body to be publicly dissected, which was accordingly done at the Town-hall, by the Surgeon of the gaol.— The two others were reprieved.
