HIGHWAY ROBBERY AT LEEDS. Samuel Longbottom (25), and Edward Robinson (20), were charged with having, on the 6th of February last, violently assaulted George Wilson and stolen from his person five shillings. Mr. Ellis conducted the case for the prosecution ; the prisoners were not defended. The prosecutor is a tailor, and on the night of the 6th of February, when he was at the end of St. Peters-square, on his road home, he was attacked by by three men, who knocked him down, and robbed him of the above money. Guilty. To be Transported for Seven Years. Leeds Times, 17 July 1847

returned to hobart, where he died. Married Elizabeth Sturridge, 1859 he left her (came to NZ) and she put out a protection order against him in 1870.
