ADM 101/26/3/21835 Folios 1-4: Copy of the daily sick book for the convicts embarked in the England transport from 1 June 1835 to 20 October 1835 - continued: Folio 7: James Lovelock, aged 41, Prisoner; disease or hurt, catarrhus. Put on sick list, 7 June 1835, at Spithead. Discharged, 10 June 1835. Folio 11: James Lovelock, aged 41, Prisoner; disease or hurt, [catarrh] complaining of considerable pain in the left side of the chest and a cough. Put on sick list, 15 June 1835, at sea. Discharged, 1 July 1835. Folio 4: J Lovelock, aged 41, Prisoner; disease or hurt, scald and bowel complaint. Put on sick list, 21 August 1835. Discharged, 21 September 1835. Folio 20: James Lovelock, aged 41, Prisoner; disease or hurt, scald of all the inner side of the right leg from the knee to the ankle, succeeded by diarrhoea and then pain in the chest. Put on sick list, 21 August 1835, at sea. Discharged, 25 September 1835.




James was 5'7 1/2" tall, ruddy freckled complexion, light hair, grey eyes, left eye partly closed, sandy whiskers, breast and arms freckled, disabled in both feet, and listed as a labourer. No children listed from his marriage to Fanny Rawlins (1787-1838).




James Lovelock stole 2 pigs even though he was disabled in both legs sentenced 8 April 1834 7 years he Died at Rolland Plains near Port Macquarie he was indented to William Freeman he had affair with a Aboriginal woman and had a son called William Lovelock B Circa 1840 Rolland Plains area William married Fanny Spokes 1858. TOL, 1835. Cert of Freedom 9/6/1842. James arrived on the ship England 3 1835 and 3 months after arriving in Sydney he was transported to Port Macquarie on the ship "William the Forth"
