26/1/1852: TOL 13/9/1856: COF Origin St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, England Accompanying Family Wife - Mary Ann & Children - Elizabeth, John & Mary followed two years later. First settled in Fremantle, WA Original Occupation Beer House Keeper & Railway Occupation in Australia Farmer & Labourer In 1852 his wife Mary Ann and three children, Elizabeth, John and Mary Charlotte arrived on the 'Anne Maclean'. John and Mary had three more children, Thomas, Harriet and Peter. The family farmed a small property. John Luff died in tragic circumstances. He died in a cave-in whilst digging a well in Bicton.




John Luff arrived in the Swan River Colony (now Western Australia) on 25 October 1850. His wife and children followed him to the colony in 1852. He died as the result of an accident at Bicton in 1860.
