Aged 28yrs; single - 2 children (the indent does not state they were on board with her - ?); Protestant - Presbyterian; can read & write. Native Place - Aberdeen, Scotland. Brothers: William, Alexander, James. Sisters: Jane, Catherine, Margaret, Elizabeth, Marian. Station Gang: Anson Clear Conduct Record Ticket of Leave granted 10 Dec 1850 Certificate of Freedom 21 June 1854 Marriage: Application for permission to marry - Charlotte Lumsden (transported per ‘Elizabeth & Henry’) & William HARE (transported per 'Mayda') 17 Dec 1850. Married 6 Jan 1851,St. George's C of E Hobart. (ref. 37/1/10 no. 159) Convict record states she is single, however has 2 children. (n.b. William had been married in England but remarriage was permitted, with the approval of the Govt., as convicts were not allowed to return to England) Children: Female child HARE b. 17 March 1852 Hobart. Emily HARE b. 23 Dec 1855 Hobart.


First offence for stealing a plate and linens from her Master; married convict William Hare in Hobart, Tasmania, 6 Jan. 1851 and had 2 daughters, Rosa and Emily. Charlotte was my paternal gg grandmother.
