Son of John Lunan and Helen Barron. Born in Lundie & Fowlis, Forfarshire, Scotland and christened 16 April 1797. Attended St. Andrew's University for 2 years. 28 July 1819 - first conviction of housebreaking in Perthshire: sentence was 6 months imprisonment, public whipping through streets of Perth on 10 September 1819 and banishment from Perth for life. 25 June 1821 - second conviction of housebreaking: sentence was transportation for life. 20 November 1821 - transferred to prison hulk, Retribution, at Sheerness. 4 April 1822 - departed England on Guildford 24 July 1822 - listed as one of the prisoners received from Guildford in NSW per Colonial Secretary's Papers. Employed as General Servant to William Chippendale, Minto. 30 July 1831 - granted ticket of leave. Physical description: 5' 10", blue eyes, light brown hair, fair complexion. 02 November 1836 - Ticket of leave cancelled for harbouring a runaway prisoner. Employed as General Servant for Mr. Williamson, Windsor. December 1842 - Granted Ticket of leave. January 1848 - Granted Ticket of Leave. 08 May 1848 - Died at Blackheath Hospital.
