George LYMAX was convicted at Suffolk, England on 10 Jan 1832 for stealing wearing apparel. Previous conviction. 7 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Lord William Bentinck' ship, arriving there 29 Aug 1832. Aged 25 yrs; farmer's labourer/ploughman; single man. VDL: Clear conduct record. 1832 & 1833: Assigned at James Gordon Esq. 12 April 1834: Died at the H.M. Colonial Hospital, Hobart. (ref. noted on conduct record)
