Celia DALEY married a different Thomas LYNCH who Came Free - ship "Minerva" Private, Royal Veteran Company. After the Minerva anchored at Sydney Cove in January 1800, they lived together as couple. Mary was born within three years. On the 1806 Muster, Thomas had Celia recorded as his wife. They spent some time at Parramatta before moving to Windsor.

Fanily connections for Thomas (Lynch) are: LYNCH Thomas (Lynch) was born on 1 2 1769. He was tried for highway robbery at Throlsell Quarter Sessions Dublin Ireland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 11 2 1796 after a voyage of 6months on MARQUIS CORNWALLIS. He had a relationship with Celia (Dailey).>>> [Some details taken from this Website, where there are 2entries for the name on the MARQUIS CORNWALLIS; one of these is recorded as dying on 28 2 1801 & buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney] Celia (Daly) was born about 1768. She was tried at Dublin city Ireland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 11 1 1800 after a voyage of 4.5months on MINERVA. She died on 1/16 11 1826 age about58 at Cornwallis as an emancipist & was buried, as (Lynch), at St Marys RC Sydney. [also is recorded Celia (Lynch) dying on 16 11 1827 age58 & buried at St Marys RC Sydney] [However Thomas (Lynch) is here recorded as arriving in Australia as a convict in 1800 on MINERVA in Smees records-no record of such a person is found] [Some details taken from this Website] Thomas (Lynch) & Celia (Dailey) produced 1child: 1.Mary (Lynch) was born in 1803. She died on 9 6 1853 age about49. ..Robert (Eather) was born on 29 4 1795 & baptised on 24 5 1795 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. In 1840s he was living on farm at North Richmond with his family. He died on 7 5 1881 age86+. ..Details of Robert (Eather)s family are given ABOVE. .. >>>Thomas (Lynch) was Free by Servitude by 1805 & appears to have had a second relationship with Margaret (Harvey). He was recorded in 1828 Free By Servitude with sons James & Owen as sawyer at Cumberland St Sydney. He died on 1 10 1830 age61 father of 5children. Margaret (Harvey) arrived in NSW as a convict on 26 6 1802 after a voyage of 7months on HERCULES. She was Free by Servitude by 1818. Margaret (Harvey) does not have an entry on this Website as yet-added by me. Thomas (Lynch) & Margaret (Harvey) produced 4children: mainly boys 1.John (Lynch) was born in 1805. 2.James (Lynch) was born in 1807. He is recorded in 1828 with his father at Cumberland St Sydney. 3.Owen (Lynch) was born in 1809. He is recorded in 1828 with his father at Cumberland St Sydney. 4.Judith (Lynch) was born in 1818. Sainty & Johnson; 1828 Census of New South Wales: [Ref - L1327] Thomas Lynch, 53, FS, Marquis Cornwallis, 1796, Sawyer at Cumberland St Sydney. Celia was deceased by 1828. However, there are also two sons, James and Owen, mentioned in this list. Their names do not appear elsewhere.

Sometime after 1800 he had a common law relationship with Celia Catherine Daley; (Convict; Minerva, 1800). They had one daughter Mary born 1803.

Thomas was charged with Highway robbery at Tholsel Quarter Sessions, Dublin. Found guilty and sentenced to 7 years transportation.
