Timothy Lynch was indicted for stealing wearing apparel from Captain David James, of the brig Neptune. The prisoner was convicted, and sentenced to be transported for seven years. He was a notorious ship robber. On hearing the sentence he exclaimed he would not mind if he had the loan of his Lordship’s wig for the voyage. Southern Reporter and Cork Commercial, 25 Aug 1827.
