Yes. This confirms another chapter of Thomas LYONS's sad story: 1868, 19 October: Thomas LYONS per Florentia 1828, stealing, life, is on a list of so-called "British Lunatics" in the "Parramatta Lunatic Asylum" (see New South Wales, Australia, Convict Records, 1810-1891).

He was 33 years old, could read and write, protestant, married, 4'6"? tall, dark sallow complexion, had 2 children, native place was Liverpool, dark brown hair, hazel eyes and a scar on lower part of inside left arm. Grounds for clemency - Labouring under a mental derangement. Asks for a pardon so prisoner can be confined safely in an Asylum. Went to sea, married before he went and when he returned 11 months later found out that his wife has misconducted herself which sent the prisoner insane. Initial sentence, transportation for life. 1841 Census: Wattle Street, Parish Alexandria, County Cumberland, District: Sydney. Thomas died in 1868 at the Launatic and Invalid Establishment at Parramatta.
