Flora McDonald was a widow, she was 35 years old on arrival, 5'2" tall, dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes, scar on upper lip, scar on left eye, can read. Native Place: Glasgow. 3 previous convictions: for stealing. 1/10/1846: TOL 1849: Assigned to Edward Brown 1850: Assigned to Miss Dowbiggin 14/5/1850: TOL 9/7/1851: Permission to marry Benjamin Gough (William Jardine) 13/10/1851: Married Benjamin Gough, 49, a widower and a farmer - Flora was 38, a servant. Married at Franklin. 10/1/1854: Inquest: Flora Gough/or Goff came to her death from Disease of the lungs, aggravated by excessive drinking.
