ADM 101/67/2/1 Diary of the convict ship Shipley for 19 November 1816 to 3 May 1817 by George Clayton, Surgeon and Superintendent, during which time the ship was employed in carrying convicts, soldiers and passengers from England to New South Wales. Folio 5: 7 December 1816: Alex McGeary, convict, complained of pain in the bowles with purging, thirst and shivering. Folio 5: 12 December 1816: Alex McGeary discharged cured. Folio 13: 15 March 1817: Alexander McGeary applied with jaundice and complained of pain in the region of the stomach probably from a stone in the gall duct. Folio 15: 18 April 1817: Discharged cured Alex McGeary.
