Family connections for John (Mackay) may be: MACKAY/McCOY John (McCoy) was born about 1774. He arrived in NSW as a convict in 1792 on PITT. He married Mary (Hill-Thomas age14) on 31 10 1808 at St Davids CofE Hobart. He was Free by Servitude by 1810. John (McCoy) is not shown on this Website, although John (Mackay) is.---John (Mackay) was tried at Perth Court of Justiciary Scotland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 2 1792 after a voyage of 8.5months on PITT; much fever & attempts to escape from the ship resulted in deaths of convicts-of the 450convicts on board only 29 were alive at muster in May 1792 (or perhaps only this many could be mustered). John (McCoy) added to this Website by me. [Some details taken from this Website]
