In custody three times before, behaved orderly in Prison the same here. Behaved well and made himself useful as an attendant on the [indecipherable] Convict Department : Bellerephon, Retribution and Ganymede hulks convict lists, 1821.

November 1830. In the employ of W. Archer, was sentenced to 50 lashes for disobedience and insolence. However, he jumped into the river and drowned himself. (Launceston Advertiser, 22.11.1830)

George Canham, alias Chapman, and Maria In-all, charged with burglariously and feloniously breaking and entering the dwelling-house of Woolnough at Banham, in the night of the l6th August, 1820, and stealing thereout various articles, his property—George Macintosh and George Canham, alias Chapman, guilty stealing to the value of 40s.— Guilty.— Maria acquitted.
