At Leicester assizes, three prisoners were capitally convicted, and received sentence of death, namely,- John Lee, for stealing a mare; Peter Bransley (a youth of 17,) for robbing his father's shop of eight silver watches, &c. and J. Mackley, for stealing  out of a dwelling house a 5£. and a 1£. Leicester bank note  and several other articles. Derby Mercury. 6 Aug 1812. LEICESTER ASSIZES. John Lee, for stealing a mare, the property of John Phipps, of Holbeach, Lincolnshire; Peter Bramhly, for stealing eight silver watches, and other articles, the property of John Birtles, Market Harborough; and John RiacLley,  for stealing sundry bank bills, value 6£. from the house of John Hollingshead, Saxelby,—being severally found guilty,  received sentence death. Stamford Mercury, 31 July 1812.
