Martha McLennon, 30 yrs, widow, can not read nor write, convicted of stealing from the person, sentenced to 7 yrs at Liverpool on the 11 Feb 1848. Once previously convicted. Prison Registers and Statistical Returns - page 182 1843-1850 HO 24/12
