Jeremiah Pendergass was named as the ring leader and shot. 44 deaths in total on this voyage. There was then another ship, also named, "Hercules" built 1822 at Whitby, England who made 3 trips to Austraia, in 1825, 1830 & 1832.

Absconded. Maher John alias Campbell, Hercules (3), 25, Dublin, labourer, 5 feet 2½ inches and upwards, ruddy freckled comp., brown hair, dark blue eyes, scar of cut across top of forehead, from Port Macquarie, since November. NSW Govt. Gazette, 4 Dec 1839.
