Robert Wilson and John Mahoney, only 13 years of age, for breaking and entering the dwelling house of Mr. Stanbury, at St. Olaves. Southwark, In the night of the 10th of February. and stealing a quantity of wearing apparel, exceeding the value of 40s., were found ... Sentence of Death was recorded. Weekly Dispatch, 14 Aug 1825.

ADM 101/48/2 Medical journal of the Manlius, convict ship from 6 June to 17 November 1828 by P M Ternan, surgeon and superintendent, during which time the ship was employed in a voyage to Van Diemen's Land. Folios 3-5, 28: John Mahoney, aged 14, prisoner, taken ill at the Nore; sick or hurt, [hoenoptiris?], was called to see a boy who it was said was dying, I found that he had been removed into the hospital before my arrival, and was throwing up blood from the lungs in a large quantities at every expectoration; put on sick list 19 July 1828, died 14 September 1828 [see also surgeon's general remark, folio 28].
