An earlier court appearence: Mary Mallet, indicted for stealing divers articles from the workhouse of St, Mary Stoke, was acquitted, the principal witness having absented herself. Ipswich Journal, 30 July 1814. .. adjourned to the following day, when Mary Mallet was put to the bar, and convicted of stealing three cotton gowns, &c. the property of Thomas Last, and sentenced to be transported for 7 years. Ipswich Journal, 18 March 1815.
