NOTICE, AND ONE POUND REWARD. WHEREAS, James Maynard, late of Bathurst, deceased, did convey by his last Will and Testament all his personal Estate to the undersigned, to be held by them in trust for the benefit of his Creditors and two infant Children; and, whereas, his widow Mary Ann Maynard, did take, carry, and drive away from the Hereford Estate, one Horse and Cart, three Working Bullocks, &c, without the order or consent of the undersigned: Notice is hereby given, that if any person will give information to Mr. J. Trewren, at Bathurst; or, Mr. J. H. Barsden, in Sydney, where the said property can be found, they shall receive the above reward; and any person purchasing the said property, will render themselves liable to a criminal prosecution for receiving the same. There is a warrant after the said Mary Ann Maynard. JOHN TREWREN, J. H. BARSDEN, Executors. The Sydney Herald, 9 Jan 1837. A woman named Ann Maynard is in the custody of the Police under the following circumstances: - Some months since her husband died at Bathurst leaving a will in which he nominated Messrs. Barsden and Terwinly, executors who were empowered to sell the personal property and pay his debts; his widow wished Mr. Barsden to allow her the use of a horse and cart, which was a part of the personal property, until he could sell it, which he intended to do on the 28th December, as there was to be a sale at Bathurst, and he thought the opportunity good. Having occasion to leave home for a few days, he found upon his return that Ann, together with the horse and cart, were missing; enquiry was set on foot when she was traced to Sydney, where it was found she had sold the horse and cart to a person named Stowe, of Parramatta, who however finding something wrong, got back £13 of his money; on her person was found £9 in silver, and a £1 note.
