One woman and 7 children died on the voyage. At least 2 children were born during the voyage. The Surgeon Superintendent was Dr Wylie, R.N. and the Matron, Mrs Evans. The Arabian arrived at Hobart Town, February 25 1847.

Mary Maloney was convicted at Limerick on 4/7/1846 for stealing a child's fork. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Arabian' arriving 1847. Gaol Report: 1st conviction. Good Ship Surgeon's Report: indifferent Aged 19yrs; lace worker; Roman Catholic; single; fresh complexion; black hair; Hazel; 4'11". Services in the Colony. Ticket of Leave 9/4/1850 Certificate of Freedom 5/7/1853
