Saturday night last about twelve o’clock, the bakery of Mr. David   Roche, M.P. in Brunswick-street., was (on fire). the watchman, who immediately gave the alarm the Police, and few minutes the Artillery engine, the West of England, and Sun Insurance engines were in .quick operation; the flames, initiated a numerous party of military. Mr. Morgan’s engine, the Royal Exchange Insurance Company, was also in attendance early hour. The combined exertions of all present saved  the adjoining buildings from destruction, the fire confined to the bakery, which the devouring element has left a mere shell.  The accident originated in some sparks from a pipe falling on a quantity bog-deal. During the fire, a parcel of ruffians robbed Mr. Spaight’s office of £? in half notes, 11s. 6d. in silver.  Informations were taken Mr. Vokes against Michael Molony and Timothy Baylee, who were apprehended by the Police, and the money found in their possession.  Limerick Chronicle, 3 April 1833.
