LAST DAY OF DUBLIN COMMISSION. … their Lordships proceeded to pass sentence on the several convictions during the Commission, and among others the following : … William Davis and Peter Mangin were then put to the bar, and the indictments, to which they had pleaded guilty—viz. their having, receiving, and embezzling certain bills and money, while in the employment of the Governor and Company of the Bank of Ireland, the same being the property of the Bank—having been read by the clerk of the Crown, the prisoners were sentenced to 14 years’ transportation each. Belfast Commercial Chronicle, 2 May 1827.
