Court Martial at (?)Kussowlic 19/04/1847. (Salween sailed from Calcutta, so maybe India?) Violent and insubordinate conduct, striking Sgt. Gibbons. 29th Regiment. Previous neglect of duty - 6mths hard labour. Ship surgeon's report: very good 22yrs of age; red hair; freckled; grey eyes; left hand disabled from wound. Native Place; Kings Lynn, Norfolk, England. Van Diemen's Land: Station Gang: Darlington, Maria Island. (off east coast of Tasmania) 14 mths. 03/01/1849: Special Constable 05/02/1849: Abscond. 20 days solitary. 15/03/1849: assigned to A. Corbett, Mt. Lewis. 28/10/185..: Ticket of Leave 05/06/1855: Conditional Pardon Application for permission to marry 16/02/1852 ref. 52/1/6 to Margaret Clarke (transported per 'Lord Auckland').
