Family connections for Thomas (Mansell) are: MANSELL/MANSFIELD Thomas (Mansell/Mansfield) was born about 1756/9. He was tried at Surrey Assizes in September 1787, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship MATILDA. He was recorded in 1802 with Ticket of Leave no.194 sentence expired. He was Free by Servitude by 1803 & had a first (1of3) relationship with Ann (Buller).>>> [Some details taken from this Website] Ann (Buller) Thomas (Mansell/Mansfield) & Ann (Buller) produced 1child: 1.Hannah (Mansfield) was born on 15 4 1803 & baptised on 26 8 1810 age7 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She may be the child recorded in 1814 on stores with her father & new partner. She married James (Walbourne) carpenter on 31 12 1823 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She died on 24 4 1880 age77+. ..James (Walbourne) was born on 4 10 1794 on Norfolk Island. He left Norfolk Island with his mother on 6 11 1794. After his parents separation >1800 he went with his mother-by decree. She is reported in January 1810 at Kissing Point where she suffered a lightning strike which severely scorched her upper body & crippled her limbs. She, with alias (Sandall), died on 27 1 1830 age52 at George St Sydney by visitation of God mother of perhaps 5children & was buried at St James CofE Sydney. He married firstly Ann (Wade) on 6 4 1788 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He, William (Tyrrell/Turrell), was granted land in 1792. He was Free by Servitude by 1807. He is reported in January 1810 at Kissing Point where he suffered a lightning strike which destroyed his barn & wheat storage & his wife was crippled; his 3children were there. He was recorded in 1828 with his family as a farmer at Wallis Plains, He was Free by Servitude by 1832 & recorded in 1832 as settler. She was recorded in 1806 & 1811 with her partner/husband. She was recorded in 1814 on stores with her family. She died as an emancipist on 4 9 1827 age57 & was buried at, as (Mansfield), at St Phillips CofE Sydney. There is no mention of the family in the 1828 Census. It would appear that Thomas Mansfield (Convict, 1791"Matilda") and Isabella Sidewell (Convict, 1805, "William Pitt") had a defacto relationship and may have had 1 child.
