The 'Ocean' was an English merchant ship and whaler built in 1794 at South Shields, England. In 1803 she accompanied the ship 'Calcutta' to Australia, acting as a transport supply ship. When the settlers abondoned Port Phillip, Melbourne, Victoria the ship transferred convicts, settlers and marines to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania). In 1815, 1817 & 1823 the 'Ocean' transported convicts to New South Wales.

Henry Maraschosky was convicted of stealing a pair of trowsers and a leather purse, the 7th of March last, the property of Elijah Smee, and sentenced to be transported for seven years. Hampshire chronicle, 17 April 1815

From Ancestry Convict Indents: The name is unreadable but this is the only conviction on the 10/4/1815 at Southampton. Occupation: Fiddler/Musician 22 years old on arrival, 5'5¾", sallow complexion, dark flaxen hair, hazel eyes. Colonial Secretary Papers: MORESHESKY, Henry. Per "Ocean", 1816 1816 Feb 5: On list of convicts disembarked from the "Ocean" and forwarded to Windsor for distribution; listed as Moroseholy (Reel 6004; 4/3494 p.337) 1817 Jun 10: On list of prisoners to be sent to Newcastle per "Lady Nelson"; listed as Henry Die Mozesky (Reel 6005; 4/3496 p.178) 1818 Jun: On monthly return of prisoners punished at Newcastle (Reel 6023; 4/1718 p.65) 1820 Nov 22-Dec 14: To be transported to Newcastle for life.
