John MARSHALL (also known as Anderson) was convicted at Stirling on 18 Sept 1823. 14 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Phoenix' arriving 1824. Father and mother at Perth, Scotland. Single man Worked last in Glasgow. Numerous work assignments and records of misconduct and punishments, in the Colony. Appears to have spent time at Port Arthur Penal Settlement. 2 March 1841: Further offence. Further 7yr sentence. 22 Apr 1845: Ticket of Leave granted.
