John Martin lived at Newick Sussex and was convicted of stealing a loaf of bread. After his time in Australia was served he was given the choice of staying in Australia or returning home. He chose to stay , married a wealthy daughter of a farmer and ran his own farm. The descendants still run the farm to this day. He was my Great great Uncle. I have a book written all about him and his family
