Named after Sir Robert Seppings, a naval architect (1767-1840), who was Surveyor of the Navy from 1813 to 1835. On this voyage the Master was Richard S Stuart and the Mate was Thomas J Clark. Convict Notes
There had been an earlier permission for her to marry William WARNER but no marriage seems to have occurred as she was recorded as a spinster when she married John AYLIFFE. They had 2 daughters, Mary Ann and Harriet. It is not know when Mary Ann and her daughters left Tasmania or when the marriage between John and Mary Ann ended, however, Mary Ann and her daughter appeared in the Entrance Book and Police Gazette at Braidwood on 5/7/1869 for running a brothel and was fined £1. No solid date of death for Mary Ann, although 1875 seems likely.
