Mary was 22 years old on arrival in VDL. Mary was single, 5'2 tall, very dark brown hair, dark hazel eyes, deeply pockmarked, brown complexion, illiterate. 24/10/1856: Free by Servitude 5/12/1856: COF 1851: Married John Button (Surrey 1832), they had 8 children. John died in 1862. Mary then married Robert Barber, they had a daughter, Susan 1866-1886. 1920: Mary died and was buried at St Andrew's cemetery, Perth, Tasmania - with John Button and daughter Susan.
