19/1/1829 Evening Mail London, England: OLD COURT Ann May, aged 21, was indicted for stealing, on the 27th of December, at half-past ten at night, a pair of ear-rings, from the shop of Susannah Bencroft, jeweller, Oxford-street. The prisoner, who sobbed vehemently when placed at the bar, soon after fianted, and was carried out of court. After another case had been heard, she was again placed at the bar, and the Jury, after hearing the evidence, found her Guilty. 4/2/1830: Permission to marry George Thompson (John Barry), aged 28 with a TOL, Ann was 22 and on bond. 1830: Married at St. James church, Sydney. 4 children listed on the NSW BDM: 1830: George J 1833: John W 1835: William M 1837: Charles
