Family connections for Jane (May) are: MAY Jane (May) was born maybe in 1781. She was tried at Wickham co.Ireland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 25 6 1809 after a voyage of 5months on EXPERIMENT. She had a relationship with Samuel (Owens his third relationship) whom she married on 13 5 1810 at St Matthews CofE Windsor & produced 3children. She was Free by Servitude by 1816. She was issued her Certificate of Freedom on 16 9 1824.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] Samuel (Owens) was tried at Flintshire Wales General Assizes, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 7 10 1792 after a voyage of 4months on ROYAL ADMIRAL. He married firstly (1of3) Jane (Horton) on 23 12 1792 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. He married secondly (2of3) Mary (Heron) on 17 9 1793 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. He was Free by Servitude by 1809. He died in 1825 father of perhaps 3children. [Some details taken from this Website] .. >>>Jane (May/Owen) married secondly with permission Richard (Jackson) of Airds on 30 9 1826 at St Marys RC Sydney. She produced 3known children in her lifetime. Richard (Jackson) was born in 1765 & became a laborer & butcher. He was tried w/4others (including George (Jackson)) for sheep stealing at York Assizes on 6 3 1819, sentenced to death respited to Life & arrived in NSW on 18 12 1819 after a voyage of 4.5months on RECOVERY [although he is recorded as arriving in 1821 on PRINCE OF ORANGE in Smees records]; he was Protestant 5'6.5". He is recorded in 1825 as servant to Samuel (Fair) in Sydney. He died in 1833 age68 at Liverpool hospital & was buried on 17 5 1833.
