William Mayberry was transported on the Surrey Or Surry, departing 29th Sep 1818 and arriving 4th Mar 1819 with 160 passengers.

Built at Harwich in 1811 a square-rigged transport ship of 443 tons and copper lined she had two decks with a height between decks of 5 ft. 8 ins. In 1818, she had a major refit increasing the decks (and convict carrying capacity) to three. She was owned by the London firm of F. & C.F. Mangles.

War Office Records. Registers Court Martial. https://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-1606814777/view Private William Mayberry, 3rd Drns Regt, and Privater Thomas Hill, 3rd Drns Regt, Tried at Guines, 17 Feb 1818, for Stealing a Porte-manteau. Transportation as a Felons for 7 years. Case sent to Prince Regent, 7 Apr 1818 for confirmation before the Prince Regent. They were soldiers in the 3rd Dragoons.

Mary Hall arrived per ship Caroline in 1833.

Served out his term in Hobart, Tasmania Took ship as crew on a Whaler 1828 recorded as being a Sawyer at Wallis Plains, NSW (Maitland) Married Mary (aka Hall) of Louth, Ireland, a convict, sentenced to 7 years for stealin "a cheese" and transported to NSW Family history has it that William died cleaning his musket
