The following is a list of the prisoners tried, and the several sentences passed upon them:— …Mary Mazagora, for passing counterfeit Bank of England notes, tokens, and shillings; … were severally found guilty, and sentence of death passed Aris’s Birmingham Gazette, 10 April 1815. His Lordship was pleased reprieve the whole of the prisoners capitally convicted, with the exception of Priest and Mary Mazagora, before he left town. Staffordshire Advertiser, 15 April 1815.

In October & December 1823 he asked that his wife be sent to the (Female?) Factory due to misconduct. CCONVICTdone Mary (Smith/Mazagora/Marzagora) was born about 1787. She was tried for uttering forged notes at Warwick Assizes, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict with her children on 19 1 1816 after a voyage of 6months on MARY ANN. She was recorded as (Merzagora) in 1821. In Octeber 1823 she sought permission to marry & in October & December 1823 her husband asked that she be sent to the (Female?) Factory due to misconduct. Her Ticket of Leave was issued on 14 10 1831 for Cumberland & Conditional Pardon about 18 10 1837. She died on 6 2 1838 age51. She arrived in NSW with her parents on 19 1 1816 after a voyage of 6months on MARY ANN. 3.William (Massagorah) was born in 1809 in Lincolnshire. He arrived in NSW with his parents on 19 1 1816 after a voyage of 6months on MARY ANN. He had a relationship with Harriot (Evans). ..Harriot (Evans) was born on 13 5 1811 & baptised on 25 5 1817 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. ..Details of Harriot (Evans)s family are given in entry for James (Evans PITT 1792) on this Website. ..William (Massagorah) & Harriot (Evans) produced at least 1child: ..1.John Edward (Massagorah) was born on 5 1 1829 at Mosgrove & baptised on 13 1 1829 at St Marys RC Sydney. .. 4.John (Massagorah) was born in 1813 in Lincolnshire. He arrived in NSW with his parents on 19 1 1816 after a voyage of 6months on MARY ANN. 6.Camilia Josephina (Massogorah) was born on 18 7 1827 in Sydney & baptised on 27 8 1827 at St Marys RC Sydney. 1821 Apr 30 Evidence at inquest on Seawell; appears as Merzagora 1823 Oct 7 Re permission to marry in the Roman Catholic Church Mary MARZAGORA Per "Mary Anne" 1816; wife of John Marzagora 1823 Oct 17, Dec 18 Memorials of her husband John detailing her misconduct and asking that she be sent to the Factory.
