The correct name of this person is Charles McArthur, not Charles Mcarthur.




Children: Margaret Adelaide McArthur born 1840. Margaret married John Joseph Steimie in Victoria 1866. She died in Brighton, Victoria 1921 aged 81 years. Charles died at Echunga, S.A. Ann Mary died at Echunga 7th October 1886 aged 80 years.




Charles McArthur was born in Dunlop, Scotland and was transported for uttering a forged note. Charles was 33 years old on arrival in VDL, he had brown hair and eyes, high temples, left little finger crippled. 1835: Married Mary Ann Harwood (William Bryan 1833).
