Colonial Secretary Documents. Letter to the Col. Sec: Dear Sir, Sir John Jamieson having resigned his Commission of the Peace, consequently the weight of the police duty devolves upon and being the resident magistrate, michael McAuliff, the Assistant Clerk to the Bench having resided at Sir John’s place, I shall feel obliged by your giving an order to have him removed and victualled on the stores at this place. Sir John agrees to part with him, and as he knows the duty well, he would be of the greatest service to me. John McHenry. Document showing that Michael McAuliffe , Per Hadlow was in the employ of Sir John Jamison for a total of 4 years, and 17 days, from 14 Aug 1820 to 31 Aug 1824.
