Denis McCarthy was charged with stealing a silver spoon, a quantity of tobacco, and other articles, from Daniel Riordan, who being sworn, proved the facts stated in the information, and identified portion of the property produced. Christopher Ball, found the spoon produced, in the pocket of prisoner, who told witness that he found it in the river, near Merchant's-quay.—Guilty, transported for 7 years. Southern Reporter, 25 Aug 1827.
