1836: His Conduct Record says he neglected his duty to Mr Lowes and was returned to the government (see http://search.archives.tas.gov.au/default.aspx?detail=1&type=I&id=CON31/1/7; image 238). 1837, 14 December: John McConnon per Isabella is on a list of prisoners who have been granted a Ticket of Leave (see Hobart Town Gazette, republished in Launceston Advertiser, p4). 1841: Muster - John McConnon is listed as holding a Ticket of Leave (see New South Wales and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849).


1833: On arrival in VDL, he was single and said he had been transported for stealing a silk handkerchief. He had a previous conviction for theft and had served 20 days in jail (see (see http://search.archives.tas.gov.au/default.aspx?detail=1&type=I&id=CON31/1/7; image 238). 1833: Muster - listed as assigned to George Lowe (see New South Wales and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849). 1835: Muster - listed as assigned to Mr G Lowes [would be same person as above Lowe/Lowes].
