Benjamin McCormack of Fingal, per Cornwall, F.S., Offence-larceny, Sentence-12 months, Native Place-Scotland, Trade-Labourer, 53 yrs old, 5 feet 5 inches high, resides, Evandale and Fingal. Tasmania Police Gazette, 21st July 1871, p119. Prisoner discharged from HM Gaols & Houses of Correction, Hobart Town & Launceston, during the week ending 6 July & 10 July 1872. At Hobart Town, Benjamin McCormack, per Cornwall, F.S., sentenced at St Mary's on 11 July 1871, for larceny, served 12 months, native of Londonderry, a labourer, 47 yrs, 5 feet 2 1/2 inches, mixed hair, bald on top of head.
