Family connections for John (McCoy) may be: McCOY John (McCoy) was born about 1774. He arrived in NSW as a convict in 14 2 1792 after a voyage of 8.5months on PITT. He married Mary (Hill-Thomas age14) on 31 10 1808 at St Davids CofE Hobart. He was Free by Servitude by 1810. [Some details taken from this Website; where John (McKay) is found, who may be the same person] Mary Ann (Hill) was born on 28/29 1 1794 on Norfolk Island. She was later recorded as Mary (Thomas/Waterson). [Noted an Ann (Hill) is recorded as off stores on Norfolk Island in February 1805]. She left Norfolk Island with her mother as part of the first evacuation on 15 5 1808 on ESTRAMINA, arriving at Derwent Tasmania on 5 6 1808: to Clarence Plains. She died on 23 7 1904 age87. 6.Timothy (McCoy) was born in 1818. 7.William (McCoy) was born on 1 10 1819 & baptised on 1 11 1819 at St Davids CofE Hobart.
