The ship is now listed and so I have transposed John’s contribution here. Joseph was 20 years old on arrival in WA and was transported for ‘Sheep Stealing’. He was convict No. 2466. Joseph was single, literate, 5’9” tall, light brown hair, blue eyes, sallow complexion, stout build, I on left hand and a scar on centre of forehead. 18/7/1854: TOL Known areas: Toodyay. 9/1/1861 The Enquirer and Commercial News, Perth: Joseph McDonald, charged with rape at Toodyay was found guilty, and sentenced to death.
